How to use kmz_world

Everything you need — from rolling your first dice to running a full tabletop campaign.

Basics

🎲 How to roll dice

1Open a room and tap the Dice button in the toolbar.
2Choose your dice type — d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, or d100.
3Set how many dice to roll and add optional named entries (e.g. "Attack", "Damage").
4Tap Roll. The result is broadcast to everyone in the room instantly.
💡Save your dice config so you don't have to set it up every session.

🎡 How to use the roulette

1Tap the Roulette button in the toolbar.
2Add your options — any text you like (names, outcomes, items, etc.).
3Tap Spin. The wheel lands on a random option for everyone to see.
💡Save your roulette setup to reuse it next time.

🌙 How to set day / night

1Tap the Settings icon in the room toolbar (owner or master only).
2Use the Lamp toggle to switch the room light on or off.
3Drag the Darkness slider to control how dark the room feels.
💡Changes apply live for every player in the room.

📦 How to place items

1Open the Items panel and pick an object from the list.
2Tap an empty tile on the grid to place it.
3Drag to reposition, or long-press to rotate or delete.
💡Only the room owner and masters can place or remove items by default.

🗡️ How to place and track tokens

1Open the Tokens panel and create a token — give it a name and a max HP.
2Tap a tile on the grid to place it.
3Tap the token during the session to update its current HP in real time.
💡Tokens are great for characters, monsters, or anything you need to track on the map.

📝 How to write shared notes

1Tap the Notes button to open the note panel.
2Create a new note, give it a title, and start writing.
3Choose who can edit it — everyone in the room, or specific players only.
4All players with access see edits live as you type.

🗳️ How to start a vote

1Tap Vote in the toolbar.
2Write your question and add the options.
3Set a time limit (5 – 120 seconds) and tap Start.
4When time runs out, results are revealed to the whole room.

🎵 How to play music for the room

1Tap the Music button (owner or master only).
2Paste a music URL and press play.
3Everyone hears the music at the same position — players who join later sync automatically.

👥 How to invite friends to your room

1Share your Telegram username — friends can search it in the app to find your Home room.
2Or copy your room ID from settings and send it directly.
3If your room is private, send them the password too.

How to promote a Master

1Open room settings (owner only).
2Find the player you want and tap Make Master.
3Masters can manage items, tokens, notes, music, and atmosphere — but can't touch room settings or other masters.

Use Cases

🐉 Tabletop RPG (D&D, etc.)

Run a full tabletop session entirely inside kmz_world.

Map & tokens

Use the room grid as your battle map. Place terrain items as scenery and tokens for each character and monster. Track HP on tokens live during combat.

Dice for every action

Set up a dice config per action type — Attack Roll (d20), Damage (d6+d4), Saving Throw (d20), etc. Everyone sees every roll.

Notes for lore & character sheets

Create a shared note for house rules, one for session recaps, and one per player for character info. Restrict edit permissions so players only update their own.

Roulette for random events

Build a roulette with random encounter tables or weather conditions. Spin it at the start of a session or when the party enters a new area.

Atmosphere for immersion

Turn lights off and raise darkness when the party enters a dungeon. Flip the lamp back on when they're in town. Play ambient music that fits the scene.

Vote for party decisions

Let the party vote on which path to take or which NPC to trust. Fast, fair, and visible to everyone.

Hangout & Social

Just hanging out with friends in a shared virtual space.

Decorate your room

Place furniture and items to make your Home room feel personal. Invite friends and show it off.

Roulette for group decisions

Can't decide what movie to watch or what game to play? Throw the options in a roulette and spin.

Vote on anything

Use a quick vote to settle group decisions — where to eat, what to do, who goes first.

Music for the vibe

Play background music everyone hears at the same time. No one is out of sync.

Shared notes

Use a note as a shared to-do list, a playlist, or a running joke board that everyone can add to.

🎭 Game Master Toolkit

Running any hosted game, quiz, or event with a group.

Promote co-hosts as Masters

Give co-hosts the Master role so they can manage tokens and items without you doing everything.

Roulette for random role assignment

Add player names to a roulette and spin to randomly assign roles, teams, or turn order.

Timed votes for quiz challenges

Give players a 30-second vote to pick their answer during a quiz round. Results reveal automatically when time's up.

Notes as a scoreboard

Keep a shared note updated with scores or progress. Only you can edit it; everyone can read it.

Atmosphere for phase changes

Use darkness and music to signal transitions — bright and upbeat for a lobby, dark and tense for the main event.
